Scope of Work
Capital Engineering Consultancy provided detailed engineering design services for boardwalks, rockpools, and jetty structures, including:
- Review of Bathymetry information obtained from survey data
- Review of Environmental Conditions: tidal levels, seasonal variations, storm surge levels, sea level rise, wind, wave, current, temperature, and flood conditions
- Review of Geotechnical Conditions
- Review of Seismic Conditions
- Design of 11 types of boardwalks as per alternative designs proposed by the client, considering FRP square hollow section 125x125x12 mm thick piles
- Establishment of Design Criteria
- Preparation of Design Calculation Reports & Design Models
- Preparation of Design Drawings including: general notes, typical details, framing plans, sections, elevations, member schedules, typical connection details, tie-in details to shore, and interface details with onshore structures and facilities
Project Description
The project involved engineering design of coastal recreational infrastructure in a sensitive marine environment. Each boardwalk, rockpool, and jetty was designed to ensure structural stability, durability, and seamless integration with onshore facilities while addressing environmental, tidal, and geotechnical constraints.
