Capital Engineering Consultancy served as the Architect of Record (AOR) for the Slovenia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Located in the Sustainability District, the pavilion highlighted Slovenia's innovation, natural heritage, and commitment to sustainability.
Scope of Work (AOR)
- Provided detailed architectural documentation and coordination with contractors
- Ensured compliance with local regulations and construction standards
- Reviewed and approved design changes while maintaining design intent
- Oversaw construction quality and assisted in site supervision
Key Features
- Green Wall: A six-meter-high living wall with 45,000 plants representing Slovenia's forests
- Immersive Experience: Visitors experienced Slovenia's landscapes and innovations through interactive exhibits and 360° projection
- Sustainable Materials: Use of prefabricated, eco-friendly, and biodegradable materials
Impact
The pavilion attracted over a million visitors, hosted 86 events, and showcased Slovenia's strengths in technology, sustainability, and tourism. As AOR, Capital Engineering Consultancy ensured the architectural vision was executed seamlessly and sustainably.
